I am doing a project on what period of Russian history Zetland students are most interested in. I have found a table with some results of a relevant survey conducted among Zetland students, and now I am going to analyse the data and express my opinion.

According to the data in the table, the most common response to the survey question «What period of Russian history do you consider the most interesting?» is «Modern Russia» with 36% of the respondents. 33% of the surveyed opt for the response «The Great Patriotic War». The option «The Reign of Peter the Great»  is  chosen by 21% of those asked.

It is also clear from the table that the figure for the response «Modern Russia» (36%) is 9 times higher than that for «The Kievan Rus» (4%). It is not surprising since the history of Modern Russia covers events that are more relevant to people today and have a great impact on global politics, while the Kievan Rus is a much earlier period that is too different and far from the present day. 

Unfortunately, one of the problems that can arise with studying the history of a foreign country is that there might be a language barrier which can make it hard to access necessary books, articles, and archives. To solve this problem, one can use translation tools or ask native speakers for help.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that studying history is incredibly important because it helps people understand the present better and learn about different cultures and traditions.
